So Ko Fo Sho!

"HEEEEEEEEYYYYYYY!!!! Sexy Lady!!!" I'm sure you've all heard it......Gangnam Style!!! Well, it just so happens to be the theme song for my parent's latest travel adventure to Seoul, South Korea, the home of Korean Psy. If you haven't heard it yet, no worries! Just check out the link below to get you in the So Ko mood!!

Once you hear it you'll understand. This song's been on repeat on my nano for dayyyzzz!!! I'm still trying to perfect my giddyup shuffle.

Anyways, this particular trip to Seoul was part business, part pleasure. My parentals arrived separately....daddy came straight from a six day biz trip the previous week in China, and mommy flew Seoulo from our home in Bangkok. As for me, don't worry...I wasn't alone. I bunked up at my best bud Sunday's  house again. Her parent's were recently away in the states, so she got to hangout at my crib for a few days as well. Pup talk, spin the bone, pillow fights....man, nothing beats a good slumber party :)

Heeeeeeey, Sexy Sunday!!!
It just so happened while my parents were visiting So Ko the country was bracing for what was expected to be the biggest typhoon of the summer...and possibly in years. [BTW, Thailand is expected to get pounded this weekend by tropical storm, Gaemi!!! Keep your paws crossed we don't flood again!! Maybe I should dust off my floaties just to be safe.] Restaurants and shops starting shutting down the night before typhoon Bolaven was predicted to hit Seoul, and schools declared Tuesday August 28th a public holiday. This put a bit of a kink in mommy's sightseeing agenda, but it also had it's perks. Due to the expected severity of the storm, all of daddy's meetings on Tuesday were rescheduled....score!!! Time for a typhoon party!
True Seoulmates! Congrats to the happy couple!
High School Reunion in South Korea!
To celebrate the storm of the century, my parents headed out for a night on the town with a few Seoul-ites, including an old friend of momma's from high school. The evening started off with a bit of soju paired with some killer Korean BBQ, my personal favorite!!! The pub crawl continued from there, but the stops got pretty blurrrrrrzzzys as the night went on. After a fantastic evening of hitting all the key hot spots, they finally rolled back to the hotel in the weenie hours of the morning. By then the storm was brewing in full force. They hurried inside, drew the curtains, and hunkered down expecting to wakeup to complete chaos.

When they woke up from their coma the next morning they opened the curtains and what did they see? Rain?.........Yeah. Wind?.........Yeah. Storm of the century???.........Nope. Apparently the storm wasn't quite as big as anticipated, but the city still remained shut down. The streets were quiet, and stores were closed. With not much going on outside, they hung around their hotel for the day. Daddy got caught up on work emails, mommy hit the gym, and for a little fun they headed downstairs to the hotel casino to test their luck!

Winna Winna, Korean Fried Chicken Dinna!!!
Even with daddy working the majority of the time, it was still an exciting getaway for the two of them. Whether it's business or pure pleasure, it's always fun to explore a new city. I know as long as my parents are together, they'll make sure to suck the life out of whatever they're doing, even if it's cooped up in a hotel waiting for a typhoon to pass!
