Behind the Sceney Weenie

Purina. Puppy Chow. Iams. They all want me. Apparently word has gotten out about my amazing acting skills. I barely managed to squeeze in writing this blog in between phone calls from headhunters and casting directors trying to get me in their next production. I just received an offer from the director of Beverly Hills Chihuahua to film a sequel. He needs a talented wiener to star in his new film Bangkok Doxie. It's a great opportunity, but I'm not really interested. Everyone knows sequels are never as good as the original!

This past weekend my family and I filmed three days here in Bangkok for part of our acting debut on the show House Hunters International, which airs in the states on HGTV. The show follows families that are purchasing or renting a home abroad and illustrates the house hunting experience by accompanying them to three potential properties. I didn’t have a single line in the show, but trust me...I don’t have to speak to be heard! It’s pretty obvious that the camera loves me! I guess I’m what you call, a natural.

The entire filming process involves four long, grueling days filled with house tours, a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River, a visit to the Chatuchak weekend market, and a whole lot more! I don’t want to give away too many juicy details in order to save the anticipation for the show. But just to hold you over, here's a few pictures from behind the camera lens :)

Rob (Ireland) the Sound Guy, Julian (England) the Cameraman, and Paul (Australia) the Director
He heard everything mommy and daddy said or did, even the stuff they didn't want him to hear.

Chao Phraya Boat Tour

On scene wardrobe change! Daddy borrowed the jacket from the sound guy, and mommy bought her dress for 200 baht on the side of the road.
We don’t know the exact date our episode will air, but editing could take around four months so we’re assuming sometime in August or September. Don’t worry, I'll let you know when so you can get your Tivo’s programmed!
I got yelled at just for sniffing this expensive piece of machinery. I guess they thought I might pee on it.... I'll be honest, the thought did cross my mind.
